OUR BACKGROUND
Valley-Sierra Insurance Agency was founded in June of 1981, by Michael F. Brown with the help and support of his new bride, Sally. Mike began his insurance career 1968 as an agent for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and later worked for companies including Sentry, E.B.I., Fred S. James and H.L. Insurance Services, Inc. Focusing primarily on providing insurance services to the forest products and construction trades at first, Valley-Sierra's first niche program soon developed.

On August 1, 2006, Mike Sold the Agency to long time associates, Cummins Insurance. Dan Cummins is now leading Valley-Sierra into a new era of expansion and improved services.

From 1983 until 1991, Valley-Sierra administered the California operations of Notary Public Insurance Services of Miami, Florida. Since then, Valley-Sierra Insurance has taken its well deserved place as a leading provider of California Notary Public bonds and supplies, earning a reputation for both low prices and high quality products. In 1995, VSI became an authorized vendor to manufacture notary seals in CA. Embossers were added in 2005.

Over the years, we have added numerous programs targeted to specific industries. These include Moving and Storage companies, Assorted Bond programs (including Tax Preparers and Finance Lenders).

We have grown over the years finding success in our niche markets. We are not your average insurance agency. We know you deserve better!
